Help Heavenly Acrez Heal People and Rescued Animals

At Heavenly Acrez, healing happens in the quiet moments between people and animals. On our 10-acre farm, children, veterans, and trauma survivors find comfort and renewal through six-week programs alongside our three horses, therapy pony, cats, and chickens—all rescued and now serving as partners in healing.

But, we can’t do this alone. Each gift directly supports the care of our animals—providing food, shelter, and veterinary care—and supplies for participants, like grooming tools and horse, art materials, and therapeutic tools.

✨ Here’s how your support makes a difference:
  • $25 helps feed a horse for a week
  • $50 provides program supplies for one participant
  • $100 sponsors the care of our therapy pony for a month
  • $200 sponsors a full six-week program for one child, adult or veteran

Every dollar helps us keep our programs accessible to those who need them most. Together, we can give both animals and people a second chance at hope, healing, and belonging.

  • 👉 Donate today and be part of the healing journey.  Heavenly Acrez Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organizaton.  All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

My toddler son and I were lucky enough to visit Heavenly Acrez today. Sheryl was very welcoming when we arrived. The property is peaceful and well-maintained, you could also tell the animals are well taken care of. We were able to pet and take pictures with the horses, chickens and barn cat. All of the animals were very friendly. Sheryl even gave my son a wagon ride around the property - he was in HEAVEN the entire time! Great organization, we will be back."

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, the youngest of four children. From a very young age, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and always had a deep love for animals. That dream shifted during a difficult experience with my childhood dog, which led me to pursue Zoology instead, with hopes of working as a dolphin trainer or with the Helping Hands program training chimpanzees to assist people with disabilities.

Though my path through college was cut short due to financial challenges, my passion for animals never faded. Life brought me many joys, including my daughter, but also many struggles. For years, I longed for peace.

At the end of 2022, I finally found it. I purchased a 10-acre property and adopted two rescue horses from Horses Haven—Stacee, whom I had lovingly groomed as a volunteer for nearly two years, and Tazzy, who captured my heart after just a few visits. Becoming a first-time horse owner, while balancing the hard work of property care, was challenging—but it brought me the peace, joy, and sense of purpose I had been searching for all my life.

It was here, at Heavenly Acrez, that I realized I wanted to create a place where others could also experience this healing connection with animals and nature.

I am so happy to open up my haven to others, so that they may also experience the peace I have found here with the animals amidst  nature.
